A thorough understanding of building science and the climate zone(s) where a home is built can lead to a safer and healthier home. When it comes to high performance home design and construction, the principles of building science remain constant, while their application is determined by a project’s location. This course explains building science principles and demonstrates how to cost-effectively apply them to home building practices and construction techniques to increase the efficiency, comfort and durability of a home in each climate zone. The course takes place on Tuesday, April 27, from 9:00 am-5:00 pm ET, Registration is open until 3 p.m. ET (12 p.m. PT) on Monday, April 26. NAHB Designation: This is required for the Master CGP designation.

 

NAHB Continuing Education: 6 hours for the following 11 designations: CAPS, CGA, CGB, CGP, CGR, CMP, GMB, GMR, Master CGP, Master CSP, MIRM.

To receive credit for this course, you must take the test after the course ends, complete the evaluation, and download your certificate of completion.

 

Cancellation and Refund Policy: Registration is open until 3 p.m. ET (12 p.m. PT) on Monday, April 26. Cancellations will also be accepted until 3 p.m.  ET (12 p.m. PT) on Monday, April 26. After that date, a $50 cancellation fee will be charged per cancellation. Cancellation requests must be submitted via email to education@nahb.org.
