The Certified Master Remodeling Professional (CMRP) credential was designed to recognize experienced industry professionals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, a commitment to continuous professional development, and adherence to the highest standards of practice within the residential construction industry. By successfully passing the CMRP exam you are eligible to apply for the CMRP credential.

CMRP Application and Instructions

  1. Log in to NAHB.org using your existing credentials. Your PIN and Education ID are typically the same. If you are not an NAHB Member, use your Education ID to create an account. If you need assistance, please contact our Learning Helpline at (800) 368-5242 ext. 8154.
  2. Add the CMRP application to your cart. This serves as your acknowledgment that you have successfully passed the CMRP exam.
  3. After submitting your application payment, you will be directed to the NAHB credentialing portal to complete the application.
  4. The application consists of five components and is completed entirely online. During this process, the applicant will be required to upload documentation verifying they meet all applicable education, experience, and business requirements.

You can save your progress; upload documents as needed and return to the application at any time. All requirements must be completed within one year of the application submission date.

All supporting documentation can be uploaded through the online application system. To ensure a smooth submission process, many required forms are available as fillable PDFs. Once submitted, NAHB Education will review each section of your application to confirm eligibility and completeness.

If any issues arise during the review or if additional information is needed, you will be notified via email.

After the review is complete, you will receive a final email notification confirming that your application has been fully evaluated and a credential decision has been made.
